We'll be in Stockholm in May and I'd like to take a day or half-day cruise through the archipelago. Anyone have any recommendations or advice? Thanks!
I think this company pretty much does all the Stockholm cruises:

I did their Archipelago dinner cruise a few years ago and enjoyed it. The food was pretty good, too.
Your decision may depend on the type of boat you would like to be on and what destination you would enjoy.
We booked one way tickets in advance for the Cinderella II Stromma ship from Stockholm to Vaxholm and enjoyed sitting outside on the upper deck for views of the Archipelago. Vaxholm is charming waterfront town. We walked along the harbor area and also along Strandgatan to Fiskaregatan where we saw picturesque red and white painted houses. The Hembygdsgarden Cafe has a wonderful cake buffet and a garden overlooking the water.
For a different experience we took a Waxholmbolaget boat back from Vaxholm to Stockholm and got tickets at the Vaxholm harbor on the boat that day. It was an older boat and a longer ride.
There are round trip Cinderella boat tours that go farther into the Archipelago also. You may wish to research the other places, to see where you would like to go. We really liked the larger Cinderella II boat we were on.
You could also pick up a copy of the schedule for the transit ferries and use them to visit the various islands at your own pace. We did that several days, and really enjoyed the experience. Stockholm is great!
