Hello everyone,
I am from Singapore, and my wife and I will be heading to Denmark, Sweden and Norway for our honeymoon from late Apr to mid May (roughly 21 days). We love food and are revolving our itinerary around that, but we also enjoy a mix of city touring as well as scenic off-the-beaten path sightseeing.
We will arrive into Copenhagen on 24 Apr morning and leave Oslo on 13 May night.
Here is a rough itinerary but it is a little rough, hence i appreciate any advice you can offer:
24 Apr: Copenhagen
25 Apr: Copenhagen
26 Apr: Copenhagen
27 Apr: Train to Vaxjo (not renting a car currently) -> visit some parts of glass country
28 Apr: Leave for Stockholm
29 Apr: Stockholm
30 Apr: Stockholm
1 May: Start car rental - Leave for Dalarna
2 May: Dalarna
3 May: Leave for Faviken and stay for the night
4 May: Leave for Trondheim and stay for the night
5 May: Leave for Kristiansund and stay for the night
6 May: Leave for Alesund and stay for the night
7 May: Leave for Geiranger and stay for the night
8 May: Leave for Sogndal and stay for the night
9 May: Leave for Flam and stay for the night
10 May: Leave for Bergen and stay for 1 night (Car rental ends upon arrival into Bergen)
11 May: Bergen or Oslo?
12 May: Oslo
13 May: Oslo - end of trip
The only part of the trip that is confirmed at this stage is our stay in Copenhagen, as well as restaurant reservations at noma on 26 Apr as well as Faviken on 3 May.
Some parts that we aren't very sure about:
- Day trip to Vaxjo sounds very rushed and inconvenient - we are thinking of just flying into Stockholm directly, and spend more time there
- Car rental costs are crazy since it's a cross-country drop off. I am thinking of avoiding this by taking a flight to Trondheim on 3 May and drive to Faviken instead. However, this might mean that I miss out on the Dalarna region.
We are extremely open to ANY suggestions on the scenic sights to do/see - i've done some research but there's just so much in the region that I am sure I am missing out on.
Thank you so much in advance!
Regards,
Sean
