Can I get a 24 hr transportation pass at Slussen where the ferry shuttle goes to Djurgarden? If not, where on Gamla Stan can I purchase a pass to get on the #82 ferry there?
There is a Pressbyrån close to the ferry: https://goo.gl/maps/QFH9CzKQx5WY2w4G6
The gate staff at the metro stations sells them too. There is one metro station at Slussen and one at Gamla stan.
Thank you for the information and picture . . . It's seems strange that this pass which costs 17 Euros will cover the ferry that cost double that one way? I hope I'm understanding this properly.
I'm not sure, but I suspect you're comparing the cost of individual ferry tickets priced in Swedish krona with the cost of the day pass priced in euros. 1 euro is worth more than 10 krona. Check your sources to be sure they are pricing tickets in the same currency.
I think Acraven has it right. The 24 hour card is 165 SEK (cheaper if you are over 65) and 39 SEK for a single ticket. You can check info on the SL website

I passed by yesterday, there are ticket windows by the ferry too.
