First time in Stockholm, we are looking for recommendations on must sees. We will be there in mid October. Also, looking for recommendations on what area to stay in. We are flying in from London on Monday morning and flying out of Stockhold on Wednesday afternoon. Thank you!

If at all possible, go earlier in the year. The weather in the region goes downhill just after the first of September, and it rains very, very often.
We came back September 10th, and were blessed with wonderful weather. We were told 2015 was a fluke, however.

The Vasa Museum is a "must see" in my book. 17th century battleship that sank in the harbor on its maiden voyage. 333 years later they found it, refloated it and restored it. http://www.vasamuseet.se/en
