I had applied to Birkbeck University in London, then took a trip there to London. I asked if I could get a tour of their buildings, and they did have an employee who gave me a big tour of their whole area of London, and gave me a tote bag of theirs with many gifts inside it, all for free. If you're thinking of attending a university where you are traveling, you may get a tour guide all to yourself for the whole afternoon for free if you ask them :)
