Clearing house for study abroad programs

Once upon a time, there was a company called AmeriSpan, which I used successfully to arrange study abroad programs for myself in Brazil and Argentina. Maybe other people also used it and know what I am talking about.

Unfortunately, Amerispan went out of business long ago, maybe during the pandemic, maybe even before it.

Can anyone recommend a similar clearing house for study abroad programs, similar to what Amerispan did?

thank you.

I spent a year abroad at school in Thailand with AFS, and while that was 30 years ago, they're still around and still have a very good reputation, and are a nonprofit. They launched their student exchange program in 1946, but trace their history back to 1914.

I am a volunteer with AFS located in Washington State. AFS offers experiences for high school students (14-18 years old) in over 50+ countries. AFS only supports study abroad for high school and gap year students. afsusa.org/study-abroad

Virginia, I looked at Amerispan site, but when you look at the schools, all the prices are 2017 prices. I guess they forgot to take down the website or thought that it would come back after the pandemic, then forgot about it, thanks anyway.

Eugene, looks like you’re right about that. The web info is deceptive. I’ve deleted my reply so as not to provide misinformation. Thanks for the correction.
