Xfinity cell service in Spain and/or Portugal?

Since our last European trip, we switched phone carriers from T-mobile to Xfinity. Wondering if anyone out there has used Xfinity international service in Spain and/or Portugal? How did it perform? We know that Xfinity uses the Verizon network, but users have lower priority.

Any information would be very appreciated.
Thanks!

No personal experience but I have heard the service is not good. You are correct about xfinity customers taking lower priority over Verizon customers. That’s why every time xfinity tries to get me to switch from Verizon I say no way!

I have used xfinity mobile in Europe twice in Great Britain, Ireland, France and the Netherlands and it worked great until you hit the daily data limit . Then they slow you down to a crawl. That can be very frustrating in the evening which is when you will hit your limit and you can't do anything on line without wifi. This could be due to background programs updating and not taking advantage of open wi-fi Hotspot.
Plus they charge you $10 a day. A two week trip with two people on the same plan will pay $380 for the trip.
I got an esim card on our last trip to Italy. I think it was $20 . No phone number but didn't need to call anyone and I told folks to email or WhatsApp to communicate. But you will need to own your phone to add an esim to it. My wife uses an old IPhone she has and it works fine for her.

It may use the Verizon network in the U.S., but not overseas. The network it connects to will depend on where you’re at and can even change between areas of a city. I can only assume it would work well.

I haven’t made a phone call overseas in years and the free T-mobile data has worked just fine for navigation.

Correct, but the priority structure is the same, favoring Verizon's direct roaming customers.
