We are arriving in Haro on Sunday June 29th. We've heard of the big fight early in the morning on Sunday, but does anyone have any information on anything else happening that day? Is there festivities in the evening time on that Sunday? Can't find too much information online and we're hoping to participate in some fun! Any info/advice would be mush appreciated :)
You do not really want "anything else" for that day, it´s the Big Wine Battle and you better be prepared with white clothes, extra clothing to get changed, a bucket or a water pistol to be filled with wine, and lots of fun in the streets. http://batalladelvino.com/
more or less what @Mikel said
here is another wine fight page, in English
This is from the 2024 fiestas in Haro. After the fight, they have some music in the plaza, and then nothing until 8pm.
At 8pm, one of the peñas served some kind of typical food, and then lots of music.
At 11:30 there were "fire bulls" and the end of the Fiestas.
i appreciate the information very much! i am sure we would be happy with just the morning fun, but with our travels we may not be there early enough to partake, fingers crossed though!!
