We are planning our first trip to Spain. We will be renting a car in Seville and traveling to the rock....any towns that we should visit on the way? After 2 nights there we will be headed to Ronda for 2 nights....same question..after Ronda we will be driving to Granada...same question...plan on getting to Granada after 3 pm and will be there 3 nights. Thanks for any help

Yeah, Gibraltar still is NOT on my list - and that's after spending about 8 weeks in Spain in the past 3 years, though on one visit I did drive along the coast and used about an hour to drive to La Linea and look at it from afar. You don't really go through the pueblos blancos between Seville-Gibraltar or between Gibraltar-Ronda.

Places to visit between Seville and Ronda - Jerez (sherry bodega tour, show at the Royal Equestrian School), Arcos for at least 1/2 day.

Places to visit after Ronda - Antequera, El Torcal (hiking).

You could also spend another night in Ronda and spend a day driving through the hills to some of the little towns/villages.

Forgot about the problems in England....we will be spending 3 weeks total in Spain..5 nights in Madrid with day trips and 6 nights Barcelona. Maybe skip Gibraltar and ad to Ronda.

If you are keen to keep options open then one idea may be ...

Day 1 Drive from Sevilla to Jerez - 1 nt (possibly visiting Arcos on the way)
Day 2 Drive from Jerez to Vejer de la Frontera - 1 nt (possibly visiting Cadiz on the way)
Day 3 Drive from Vejer de la Frontera to Ronda - 2 nts (possibly visiting Gibraltar on the way)
Day 4 White hill towns drive from Ronda (Grazalema, Zahara)
Day 5 Drive from Ronda to Granada - 3 nts
