Which ticket for Catherdral in Zaragoza?

Hi,

I'll be visiting Zaragoza in April. One of the main sights is the Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. There are a number of ticket options. The complete ticket includes La Seo Cathedral, Museum of Tapestries, Torre del Pilar, Rosario de Cristal and the Pilarista Museum.

Can anyone recommend all of those? Or perhaps, which ones do you think are not worth it?

Thanks

Both cathedrals are definitely worth it, the tapestry museum was good, the observation deck wasn’t that good but I think you go up with an elevator so going up was easy. I don’t remember visiting the others.

I won't be there until May but I was planning to buy the complete ticket and hope we get through it all. We've got 3 nights there so I think we will.

I was not impressed with the cathedral.

I enjoyed the:
Origami Museum
Firefighter’s Museum
Palacio de la Aljafería

Food in del Tubo

We didn’t want to see the museums, tower, etc. The basilica by itself was free to enter and that’s what we went into.

While the exterior is pretty, I was underwhelmed by the Aljafería Palace and was glad I only had to pay the retired person’s entrance price.

Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar is free entry and overwhelming. I see that La Seo has a separate ticket price, but I swear we walked in free as well. It was Easter Week, so maybe that was it. Anyway, I thought the Basílica was more impressive. Where La Seo shines is the exterior, which is free. As you face the Cathedral, peel off to the left and head down the side. The Mudéjar architecture that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage designation is along that face and quite beautiful. I don't think any of the other museums or sites on the ticket are worth it. In fact the Rosario de Cristal seemed a little cheesy. Here's our trip report from Zaragaoza last year but I'd focus on the firefighter museum and Museum of Zaragoza. As you'll see in the report, I disagree with @ jaimeelsabio and found the Aljafería Palace to be quite interesting, even moving. I loved the layers of history. I just hated the ticket system! I tried to see if the Alma Mater museum had any special exhibits during your visit in April, and came up empty; however, it is just next door to the Basilica, so you can pop your head in and see. Bottom line, we LOVED Zaragoza! You are going to have a wonderful time.

Another vote for the origami museum - absolutely stunning!

For us, the Aljaferia Palace was awesome and unmissable while, conversely, the cathedral was dark and unimpressive. In September 2019, the Basilica entry was free/donation.
