Which admission ticket did you choose for Monserrat in Barcelona?

Hi,

I am planning to visit Monserrat Abbey in Barcelona in April and saw a couple of options for admission (https://tickets.montserratvisita.com/en).
I was wondering how you liked the visit overall, how many hours you spent, and if you attended "Escolania" Boys' choir, what your impression was.

Also, as for the transportation,
I read from Rick Steve’s book and elsewhere: take train the R5 line from Plaça Espanya in Barcelona to Monistrol de Montserrat. 1hr, €11.50 round trip) https://transitapp.com/en/region/barcelona/fgc/commuter-rail-r5, https://www.fgc.cat/en/) . Let me know if you recommend other ways or have tips in general.

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps I should elaborate my question better for response:)
I read somewhere watching the singing of Escolania is free but on the website it appears a separate admission ticket with added fees(https://tickets.montserratvisita.com/en/357-tickets/4022-visit-montserrat-and-singing-of-the-escolania/info).
- Can you tell me which one you ended up doing and if the singing was worth to stay?
- After seeing most things, what time did you get back to Barcelona? Is Monserrat Abbey 1-day or 1/2 itinerary? Thank you!

One of the links in the original post didn't work for me, but I have found the following link useful. Same website that OP has posted, just direct to a detail page (if the link works). Page jumps (for me) to the search function, but there is useful general info on Montserrat transit if you scroll back up. (I missed that initially....)

Thanks for linking your post, Mel.
