Which Madrid 4 star Hotel?

Taking an Anniversary trip with my husband this April and looking for a 4 star hotel with comfy beds. It’s our first time in Madrid. We’d like to be able to walk to a number of sites and/or be close to the Metro.

I’ve sort of narrowed it down to:

Hotel Preciados

Hotel Liabeny

Petit Palace Plaza del Carmen (this would have been the winner, but their rooms with Jacuzzi tubs are sold out on for our dates)

How would you rank these? Are they all fairly comparable? Any others you’d highly recommend that I’ve overlooked?

Thanks!

I would recommend The Principal in Madrid. Perfectly located near museums and Retiro Park. Just off of Gran Via. Vintage building with a modern interior. We had a wonderful time staying there.

We love Hotel Preciados. They seem to recognize us now that we've been there a few times. They even upgraded us 5 years ago and we stayed in a brand new suite. So cool!! Hubby would love it if we got the same room in May. Not only is the service impeccable but the restaurant Cafe Varela is fabulous with the same excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel.
