In Rick's podcast and Spain book he mentions his private guide, Aziz Begdouri, but on Trip Advisor the one with the Rick Steves' recommendation is Aziz Benami. Which one is the "real Aziz?" Has anyone used either of these guides?

well, actually they both are the "real Aziz". Aziz Begdouri is the guide on Rick's podcast and show on Tangier. His contact info. is privateguidetangier@gmail.com or info@lamaisonblanchetangier.com. For some reason, he is no longer listed as one of the private guides in our guidebook. Aziz "Africa" Benami is the Aziz listed in Rick's guidebook as one of the private guides for Tangier - info@tangierprivateguide.com. I've met and done tours with both and either would be a fine choice as a local guide in Tangier.

In May we booked through Aziz Benami, though our guide was actually one of his staff. We arranged for a full day in Tangier out of Tarifa and back and all went well. Though we made our arrangements from Spain, the RS guidebook gives a US toll-free number for him. Have a great trip.

As of now, we are booked with Aziz Benami's company. We will already be in Tangier, so they will pick us up at our hotel there. I was pleased to find that he is flexible with the tour...we have no interest in the camel stop, so we'll be able to use that time elsewhere.
I still welcome any other input!
