We are going to be 4 adults and 2 children - 3 years old and infant. We are going to Valencia and then Benidorm. Our plan is to fly into either Madrid or Barcelona and rent a car to get from the airport to our destination. Which is a nicer ride to take - from Madrid to Valencia or from Barcelona to Valencia.? We realize we might need to make multiple stops to accommodate the children. In addition, is one airport easier to rent a car from? We need to make our plane reservations and are not sure which city to fly to. The flight options to get to either airport are equal. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Also, we are thinking of staying at Villa Del Mar in Benidorm. Has anyone stayed there?

There is no correct answer. Both are about the same distance from where you are going. Madrid would mean driving through the interior, fewer options for stopping, or at least better known places, though you could add Cuenca, looks to be an interesting town, From Barcelona, your drive would be along the coast, so lots of places to stop. As for ease, Barcelona would be slightly smaller an airport to navigate.
