I was planning on renting an apartment in Triana for my family’s 3 night stay in Seville. Anyone have any thoughts on pros & cons of staying there compared to staying Seville proper (across the river)? Thanks
Way back in 2017, we stayed in Seville proper for 4 nights. Our hotel, the Becquer was within easy walking distance of Triana, and part of me wished that we were staying on that side of the river. But the Becquer was a great hotel within walking of distance of everything.

I say go with your gut!
In Sep 2023 my wife and I chose to stay in Triana for our 3 nights (4 days) in Seville, and were happy with the location as it was within easy walking distance of every site we visited. Details are in our trip report (part 2): https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/trip-report-spain-aug-sep-seville-ronda-granada-cordoba-madrid
Nick, Estimated Prophet & GeoffB, thank you all for your quick replies. Geoff, your trip is what I am planning in reverse in Sep 2025. Great info, with specifics, that are so helpful. I love your comment about bus between Cordoba & Granada. I was planning to take train, but may relook at that now. Going with my gut & Geoff’s experiences. Thanks again.
We are going to be staying in Triana for 3 weeks in the spring. My research indicates Triana has better bars and restaurants, and a big market if you want fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus, the major tourist sites are just across the river, less than a mile away. If you take a look at Google maps, right around the Mercado de Triana are literally dozens of highly rated bars and restaurants.
