Just decided to add a night in Cordoba, since it will be only one night is there a hotel you'd recommend?
Heather,
We enjoyed our stay at Hesperia Córdoba, right across the Roman Bridge.
The hotel staff were pleasant, spoke English, among other languages (French, German, etc..), & the buffet breakfast was delicious & well worth the price.
The hotel has a terrace on the roof with a bar & restaurant, where you can enjoy the amazing views of the Mezquita.
Just make sure you don't get a room on the 3rd floor (below the terrace) or you may be bothered by the noise coming from the terrace, which closes at midnight.
There is also a small pool on the terrace & it was very refreshing after a long day of sightseeing.
Hesperia Córdoba is an NH hotel, & if you join their rewards program, you will receive a small discount.

I really liked Hostal Almanzor. It's a small family run place in a great location (5 minute walk from the Mezquita).
We have stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia and loved it. Good location, lovely gardens and beautiful rooms.
Hotel Viento 10 in the Juderia has 8 rooms. Good location for 100 Euros. The hosts speak fluent English. Carmen was especially helpful with Cordoba info. Eat in the Taberna Bodegas Campo (not the formal restaurant) just down the way.
For a single night, I would not recommend staying on the other side of the river, as Priscilla did. The Juderia is a lovely area.
