We are at the tail end of an amazing years travel, and need to spend 2 nights in Barcelona. We no longer have our RS books and could use a recommendation. Prices on tripadvisor are crazy high. We also have our dog who has been the best traveling companion.

The Ibis are pretty inexpensive - several in BCN and they take pets

That's quite a low budget for Barcelona, especially on such short notice. You may waste time following up on individual suggestions, finding they are all booked. I'd go somewhere like booking.com and see what turns up.
