Where to go in Spain - Feb 2017 (mid month)

Two suggestions:
A weekend isn't enough to make much difference; pick a city with good transport connections.
Maybe you can try editing the headline of your post to update to 2017 as in the body of your post.

Agree with Southam. I assume your base is somewhere in Europe. Look for a destination with non-stop flights. For February, Andalucía would be nice. And Barcelona is fairly temperate, considerably warmer than Madrid.

Thanks! Yes i live in Dublin. Thinking to go for a weekend to chill-out. Unlike other places the weather seems to be quiet cold in Europe so thought about spain (close to dublin)

Ryanair flies Dublin to Seville direct on Sat and Tue. That would be my choice if you could swing a 4 day weekend.

This site includes a table with all the destinations from Dublin. Sevilla or Barcelona would be good. Or Malaga as a gateway to Granada. Even Madrid with its great art museums or as a gateway to Toledo.
