What would you do, train or fly Seville to Barcelona?

I am debating flying from Seville to Barcelona or taking the train. Here are my issues. We are a party of four. Luggage shouldn't be an issue, we are packing light. My biggest hold up is the amount of time in Seville. Do we have time to do anything before the train at 2:50pm? We would already have done the Cathedral and Alcazar.

Fly to Barcelona $250 8:15pm-9:50pm. This would give us 2.5 days in Seville.

Train to Barcelona $290 2:50pm-8:22pm. This would give us 1.5 days in Seville. I don't think we would do much in the morning on this day if we take the train. Or we could go 8:50am-2:25pm for $240, giving us more time in Barcelona.

If we decide on the train, we would then be booking a Spain rail pass. If we fly we would do point to point for our other 2 train trips.

Thanks! That is what I was leaning towards. But I read on here how viewing from the train is better, even if the train adds 2 hours.

In my opinion, the views from the train are not particularly special and I'd rather have the longer time in Seville.

I'm flying. Vueling for about $40, one-way. I did make my reservation about 5 months before my trip.
