I just checked a short blurb on you tube. He was on the celebrity cruise ship called Reflection.

Cruise lines do not always use the same ship for a particular itinerary, if being on the exact same ship as Rick is important for you.

Cruiselines may also change itineraries from season to season. With so many repeat cruisers, then need to keep things different to draw them back.
I might suggest discussing with a cruise line specialist. I have storefront travel agents in my area who are cruise specialists, others may be on line.
MSC cruise lines seems to offer a 12 day Barcelona return trip including the areas you sited, but would be a vastly different cruise experience to the english oriented Celebrity line. MSC is a predominately European line with announcements in 4-5 languages and service as efficient rather than overly friendly.
Decide what your priority is and make compromises.

We were on two celebrity cruises - one around the British Isles and one to Alaska. Both ships were almost exactly the same in layout. The main difference were the specialty restaurants. We enjoyed both cruises immensely.

The only Celebrity cruises that I found going to both Spain and Greece do not have any stops in France. They go from Barcelona and stop in Palma De Mallorca (Spain), Valetta (Malta), Messina (Sicily) and Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, and Athens (Greece), and return to Barcelona. Is that the itinerary that he was on? It's possible that they have changed the itinerary and dropped a stop in France.

There is also one that does Barcelona, Palma, Valetta, Messina, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Split, Rijeka, and ends in Venice. I like that itinerary, I'd take that cruise.

We have done 10 cruises on Celebrity and love the line. It excels in dining and service. We have also done cruises on NCL and Royal C. Those two lines have a bit better entertainment.

Price is a huge factor and Celebrity and NCL have gone to price bundling with promos like beverage (alcohol) packages that significantly increase prices. Royal C is more likely to offer a lower, non-bundled price.

Check Celebrity, NCL, Royal, Princess and Holland America for cruises. You can search by when the cruise departs from, etc. I remember seeing Iberian cruises of Portugal and Spain.

Including Greece would be more complicated, there may be some available, but you will likely look for a longer cruise 14 or more days.

The show is definitely made up of multiple cruises - not just one.

If you want to do the same, you will probably end up taking a western med cruise that immediately relaunches as an eastern med cruise.

My favorite search engine for cruises is vacationstogo.com. I've booked a handful of cruises through them and been happy. Their prices seem to be the same as other online travel agents who specialize in cruises (and significantly better than booking directly through the lines).

I'd do a custom search, choose Mediterranean, then pick some varied ports (Barcelona, Rome, Malta, Greece) on the cruise to see if you can find one that covers all of them. I'd guess it will probably take two cruises to cover most of them.

The biggest thing to remember on a cruise is you only get a day in a port (roughly eight hours). You only have time to choose the activity you most want to do. This works fine at smaller ports but not at all for places like Rome or Barcelona. If you get on at one port, say Barcelona, you can arrive a few days early and see the city before embarking. A lot of these cruises end in Rome so you can end there and spend a few days in Rome before joining an eastern med cruise that will cover Greece (Malta seems rarer). I'd consider a few days in Rome, train to Venice for a couple days, then a cruise that includes Croatia, Turkey and Greece.

Rick sailed on the Celebrity Eclipse. It looks like it's no longer sailing the Med but is more South America and Alaska-based. See https://www.celebritycruises.com/itinerary-search?ship=EC

What did you like about Rick's cruise? The line? The itinerary? Celebrity is a high-end cruise line with great service. If you've never cruised before, you'll probably be just as happy with Royal Caribbean or Norwegian, both of which are lines that cater to Americans, are solid midrange price points, and hit all the highlights. Or, will you be traveling with kids? Disney Cruises has some amazing Med itineraries that are admittedly expensive but they do a great job (we sailed with them last year on the Med).

And Princess would fall somewhere higher end than Norwegian or Royal Caribbean and lower than Celebrity. They have a lot of ships and itineraries.
