Walking the GR-92 along the "Spanish" Cinque Terre

We're planning a self-guided walk of about 5-7 days along and near the Spanish coast north of Barcelona on the GR-92 trail. Wondering if any of you fellow travelers have made this trek fairly recently, and might have a referral of a company to move our luggage each day and assist with other details. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jim

You're not doing the whole GR-92 (in Catalonia alone it's nearly 600km/375miles long), are you?

The following info is available only in Catalan -the local language- but still it might be useful (just use Google Translate :))

I can't help re:the company to move your luggage, sorry, maybe inquiring at the Federation they know.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the links, Eric. We plan a leisurely walk on the segment between Peratallada to around S’Agaró.

Hello Jim,

We walked part of the GR92 but further north than you are planning – we walked from Collioure (France) to Cadaques (Spain) two years ago.

It was a self guided walk we booked through a French company – La Pelerine, they arranged for our bags to be transported each day, and it included half board which was very welcome at the end of a day. The hotels weren’t the Ritz but good 2nd/3rd star hotels for the region

The walking notes were in French which was a bit of a problem as neither my wife or I speak or read French so I just found a translation web site and out popped a very rough translation which was more than enough to get us from town to town. Normally the notes are left at the first hotel to pick up but I asked that they send me a copy in advance plus a list of the hotels. For the hotels I used Google maps to locate them and then printed out a map of each town to make finding them easier rather than relying on the translated notes.

It was a great holiday. We spent an extra day in Cadaques and visited Salvador Dali’s beach house, included in the trip was a return taxi to Collioure via Figueres where we stopped to visit the Salvador Dali museum.
