I will be spending about 2 weeks in Andalucia in December (flying into Malaga and out of either Malaga or Seville). I've been to Granada, Seville, and Cordoba before (loved them!) and want to spend up to half of my next trip hiking and walking. I'm planning to spend the rest of the time visiting Malaga, Cadiz, Jerez, and a few of the Pueblos Blancos.
I would love some advice on which towns would serve as good bases for moderate day hikes/long walks/bike rides in December. I will be traveling on my own and relying on trains and buses (I don't drive) and speak some Spanish. I'm open to taking guided walks/tours if they're not expensive but am comfortable walking on my own with directions. I assume some areas require a car and/or will be too cold in December.
Thanks so much for any advice! I've been reading guidebooks but haven't been been able to get a good sense of walks etc that are accessible by public transit and likely to have decent weather.
Thanks so much!
