Funny this should pop up, as yesterday I was at an event and talking to an acquaintance about her imminent trip to Paris.
She said she was scammed by a tour company who did the same thing: sent confirmation but no tickets, then said they had to rebook on a date not convenient for her, as the tour was full.
It was for a one day tour for something.
Now they can’t get their money back after umpteen phone calls, hangups on live calls etc.
I’m sure this was the name of the company.
She will hopefully claim it back on her credit card .

OP: I hope you will also recover your money.

I'm sorry this has happened and I hope you can get your money back. At least you can buy real tickets from the above link.

I sometimes see posters on here claiming something is a "scam" and roll my eyes because it isn't a scam, rather a misunderstanding (complaints about traffic tickets spring to mind).

But in this case, I think you're very right to call this company a scam. And please warn as many as you can. Amongst its obnoxious "business" practices are:
- making websites which pretend to look like an official one (with Walker in tiny letters)
- manipulating web searches to get their websites high in the results
- offering tickets at double the actual, official price
- claiming to be able to sell those tickets even though not linked to the real seller (so the ticket might not even exist)
- often, it seems, not even trying to buy the ticket as your agent.

Walker Tours are a despicable company.

PS as well as doing this at the catedral, they also do it for the Alcazar, Cordoba's Mezquita and Granada's Alhambra, amongst many other places.
I'm just adding this in case anyone searches for those. Hopefully, they will see Walker Tours are crooks.

You know what's weird...I am on the official website for the Orsay museum a couple of times a month. The other day I went on looking for something, started typing the web address in on my laptop, hit return and went to the website that came up. I looked at it and thought something was wrong...then when I looked at the ticket price it was something ridiculous like 45E. I realized in the upper left corner by the actual Orsay logo was in small text.."by Walker tours". I was astounded as I'd never been to that website on this laptop but it was selected for me. Fortunately I'd read the other thread on Walker Tours AND was familiar with the official website and prices.

Very easy to get caught on this even when you are not actually doing a search.

@Pam this is what happened to me with the Palacio Real de Madrid and My Top Tours. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company because they indicate the tickets are refundable up to 1 day before the activity, but I have written to them to request a refund and have not heard back.

I just bought tickets to Sagrada Familia on this site a few days ago and wondered why I hadn't gotten them! I had no idea I wasn't on the official site! :(
