Our family of 3 is flying on Vueling airlines from Granada to Barcelona on tickets that include no checked or carryon luggage. We will have two regular suitcases that I was planning on checking in online in advance and paying the extra cost of about $42 each.
Am I correct in assuming that I can choose to checkin and pay for only 2 suitcases, or will Vueling charge me for one checked bag per passenger for all three of us--and so charge for 3 suitcases even if we check in only three?
I know it sounds a little crazy, but I saw on their website that if you pay to upgrade to include a carry on, you have to do it for everyone on the booking, not just one or two persons. I'm not sure if the same applies to checked luggage. I think not since it is not an upgrade, just payment per bag, but these low cost airlines do have crazy rules! Would greatly appreciate if anyone can guide based on their experience. Thanks!
