In late March/early April I will be arriving in Valencia from Brazil by ship, and flying home to the US from Barcelona. I have 8-9 days to explore the surrounding areas. I will just be traveling by train and bus, but enjoy exploring and relaxing off the tourist trail. I enjoy anything historic or scenic, short hikes, local festivals etc., and much prefer small towns to big cities. I enjoy the seaside, but know it will be too cold for water activities. I would appreciate any suggestions.
