I am hoping to visit Madrid in early January 2025 and am eager to learn more about the logistics of visiting during that time of year. I see that the Prado is still open (reduced hours) on January 6. How difficult is it to navigate Madrid on January 5 since it is a holiday? It would be really great to see the parade, but I am also traveling with someone who cannot stand for extended periods of time, and I'm worried about dealing with crowds.
In other words, is it realistic (and a good idea) to be in Madrid January 3-6? I'd love to hear any tips or advice for this potential trip!
Thank you!!
