Visiting an Olive Grove and Facility

Hi, we are just outside Malaga and are interested in visiting an Olive Grove, similar to what we did in Guatemala for an avocado farm. Very enlightening. Would anyone have any recommendations to actually see the olive trees and understand their growth and production? We have an agricultural background, so we are quite interested.

There’s Mudejar Olive Oil Monda northwest of Málaga. It’s at Km1 Paraje "La Teja, Carretera, 29110 Monda. No idea if the groves are there, but it does produce olive oil.

Thank you so much! We ended going to Molino del Hortelano which was excellent. They had a new production facility in place since 14 years and produced premium olive oil. Winner of numerous awards. They also had the older Equipment on site. For generations of olive production, and the wife conducted the tour and she was wonderful. Very nice lady. Recommend this tour.

Glad you found a place for a tour. If olives were being pressed while you were there, I bet it smelled wonderful. Decades ago when we lived in Spain there was an olive oil producer just outside Sevilla and it smelled so nice entering the city. It’s long gone.
