Should we book a private tour of the complete Alhambra (Granada) itinerary? If so, which private tour? Can we buy tickets and hire a tour guide after the fact? Any advice appreciated from anyone who has recently visited the Alhambra.

You can book tickets and hire guide after the fact. That is what we did. I can’t say enough good things about our guide, Margarita, whom I learned about on this forum. You can email her at [email protected]
There were many instances where we would not have known where to look or really understood what we were looking at without her there with us. Both my sister and I agreed that hiring Margarita was one of the best decisions we made on our trip.

Hi btalavan, You can email her and ask if she has your date available, then reserve her. She will have you buy your own tickets.

No need to buy a ticket for her. Guides have a different entry system.
