Am considering a number of day tours in Spain using Viator. I understand that they are the middle men for the tours. But where do I go to deal directly and book directly with those tour companies that viator offers? Is there a site that lists them. I would prefer to deal directly, but need more info. Thank you

Go to Trip Advisor. They list each city as well as Attractions and Things to Do. Under this category, you will find Tours. Each tour company will have their own website. Here you can find information about the tours you want, read their reviews, and skip the middle man that is Viator.

I just went to the Trip Advisor site and checked out tours . I read in the fine print at the bottom that Trip Advisor is a Viator Company....hence everything I see on a Viator tour is exactly the same as that I read on Trip Advisor. So is there any difference?

Just because TA and Viator are connected does not mean much.
Tour companys do not have to use Viator as a reseller, even if they are listed as a tour with them. Find a tour you like and use them. You do not have to use Viator to make your booking. The companys have to pay a 25% commission to Viator so they are happy to have you book with them in person instead.
