ViaMichelin Maps

I have seen the Michelin maps referred to in several posts. Is this the best map if we are doing a driving trip through the Basque Country? Other navigational and/or guidebook recommendations? I do a lot of searching online but sometimes when out of the country it is nice to have physical maps and resources.

thank you

Michelin maps are fine. Our physical map of Spain is a Borch. We bought it because it is laminated and can be written on with an erasable pen.

We haven’t used it or any paper map in a while since Google maps works fine. If you don’t find one in the U.S., that you like, they are pretty easy to buy once there,

Something I like about the maps on ViaMichelin.com, which I think also applies to the printed Michelin maps, is that especially scenic roads are outlined in green.

ViaMichelin is the app that the Michelin company provides.

I like that its itinerary planning feature lets you know exactly how much you will pay in tolls (they also provide an estimate of how much you'll spend in fuel; they have a default vehicle entered, and you can choose if you know what kind of car you will actually be driving).
