Two questions:
The Quartz Youth Hostel is in the Ciutat Vella, on the far west edge; I presume based on other posts about Valencia (and I google walked it) the area is good for my youth (13/17) to walk around on their own during the day; generally a pleasant and interesting neighborhood?
I haven't stayed in a Youth Hostel as an adult (or with my family (we have the family room)). I actually think it will be great for my kids to be around younger folks and experience it (for, say when they decide to backpack through Europe on their own!). But please share any information that would be helpful to manage my expectations! (I've blown our budget multiple times in the planning, so this seemingly lovely place at a VERY reasonable rate ($400 for three nights) feels optimistic!)
