We are planning a trip to Spain and planned to stay for 3 nights in or near Valencia, but we are concerned about the effects of the recent terrible flooding. Is it a place we should still consider going to, or avoid for now. Thanks.
I think it's been about 4 or 5 months since the flooding in the Valencia region, well the initial flooding was quite destructive but the region has made a lot of progress. I think the only place that are still struggling are the worst hit which were in the inland suburbs and towns south of Valencia , but these are not places tourists go to normally. So I think overall you're fine to visit city of Valencia and the tourist areas close by.
We were in Valencia last week. No flood-related problems
