We have the 2023 edition of Rick Steves Spain and there is no mention of Valencia! This appears to be a glaring omission and since we plan to have this lovely city on our month long Spain itinerary in Oct/Nov 2024 , we are bemused as to why this city was left out of the book. Any thoughts?
Asked often and here's a recent post with explaination:

Rick can’t cover every place and Valencia has no blockbuster sites like the main cities most tourists visit. Look up “Things to See” on TripAdvisor to get ideas of things to see in the city.
His books tend to cover places his tours go to, and they do not go to Valencia.
Not sure why Valencia is not talked about much on this forum. We were there late Oct and it was the surprise of our trip! Loved the city, the hotel we stayed in (recommended by a few ppl on this forum) and there is the Art & Science Complex designed by no other than Santiago Calatrava! And San Nicolas church, referred to as the 'Sistine Chapel' of Spain - it's not nearly as great as the real thing, however a beautiful church! I recommend going there and spending maybe 3 nights, my 2 cents.
