Using VISA card to buy tickets online via Comercia Global Payments- transactions won't work

HI there. I've been trying to buy many different types of tickets (Royal Alcazar, Toro de la Meastranza, train tickets) and these sites all use Comercia Global Payments and every time I try to use a VISA (also tried a MasterCard) I get the same message: Unable to perform transaction. Denied Transaction."

I've been searching different blogs and forums and I haven't found a good answer on how to fix this. can someone please help?

I'm guessing you are home and trying to buy these online. Talk to your card issuer. They may be blocking purchases made online with overseas companies.

Have you registered your card for Verified by Visa? Spain has a second layer verification system. You'll want to know how to activate this, as if it is the first time it is used, you may need to get a Verified by Visa box, enter log in and password, then it will verify future purchases behind the scene. Not sure the Mastercard equivalent. It rarely has anything to do with the card blocking payments from overseas.

Service on the phone with CC may help. They can go through charge with you and see in real time why it will not go through.

Also try an Amex Card. When all my other cards fail Amex seems to work just fine

Many European web sites require the protocols called Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, or AmEx SafeKey. If they accept PayPal, that's easier to sign up for.
