We have 2 nights in Madrid before heading to Barcelona. Looking for comfortable quiet hotel to get over jet lag and see The Prado.

I haven’t stayed at either, but right across the street from the museum are NH Madrid Paseo del Prado and the Westin Palace Madrid. Both are upscale and the front doors face the Fuente de Neptune. Across the street is Hotel Ritz Madrid. All three are within a couple hundred yards of the Prado’s entrance.

We have stayed both at The Palace and last hear at The Principal. Recommend them both. The Principal is a new design hotel inside of an historic building on a side street off of Gran Via.
