Is Uber car or some other type of ride sourcing service available in Barcelona or Madrid? How does the fees charged compared to local taxi service and how available are drivers/rides?

Uber is in Madrid (I used it several times when I was there in early May), but it is not in Barcelona. The fees were slightly lower than a taxi and the drivers were wonderful. Two out of the three I used spoke English, at least a little, and two of the three offered me water when I got in the car. I was not able to find an available car on a Sunday morning, though, so I took a taxi that time.
