Hi group,
I will be arriving in Barcelona on 6/11 - staying at an Airbnb in the Gothic area of Barcelona. How much would be normal for a ride from the airport to downtown?

I just returned from Barcelona and I think it was between $25 and $30 euros. I think there is a set fee but that could be just going to the airport. There is an airport bus that it cheaper but it would drop you off at Papa Catalunya (sp?). Depending where you are staying, the walk might not be bad.

I received a offer from the Airbnb host to pick us up in a van since there are 4 of us with suitcases for 69.00 EU.

Adding to the previous comments: taxis in Barcelona are very easy to spot cause they're all painted black and yellow and have a pilot light on the roof -which is lightened green when it's available.
You can either go to a taxi stop and take the first one on the line (yes, the first one, no picking here), you can use one of the many apps (search Google) or simply raise your hand to any empty and available -remember green pilot on!- taxi passing by.

I am here now - the taxi’s we have used all take credit cards so far. No problems.

Thank you for this post! I've been wondering if it was best to reserve a taxi ahead of time or just find one at the airport. Thank you for letting us know that taxis accept credit cards. What about tipping? Is this expected and if so how much? Thank you again!
