Trying to figure out which type of ticket allows one to see as much as possible of the Sant Pau complex in Barcelona. Any advice gratefully welcome. Thanks in advance
This website lists all of the combined tickets and costs.

I'm confused as there looks to me to be only two options - self-guided with brochure or self-guided with audio. Possibly a tour on some dates.

The calendar indicates what type of ticket is available by date: https://tickets.santpaubarcelona.org/stpmuslinkIII/venda/index.jsp?nom_cache=SANTPAU&property=SANTPAU&grupActiv=1&lang=3
Not all of the complex is open for touring - some areas are rented by organizations for their private purposes. No tourist ticket would allow entry to those areas.
I don't remember this being a complicated visit (unlike some other Barcelona sites...) Visited March 2024, simply walked up purchased the ticket.
I've been there twice, most recently in 2019. There was no need to buy a ticket in advance. A few others on the forum have reported visits there, and no one has said anything about a ticket line or buying tickets in advance. Barcelona is a real challenge for sightseers who don't have a great deal of extra time. It's wonderful to have a sight like Sant Pau that can be slotted in on a moment's notice. However, it is not a quick visit; it's a complex of multiple buildings, and the grounds are attractive as well.
We were there in April 2024. We had purchased timed self-guided tickets with the audioguide ahead. It was pouring rain that day, there was no appreciable line (maybe 5 people?) and they kindly let us in before our timed-entry. Everyone gets to see the same areas that are open that day. It’s a large complex, absorbs people easily and is not on everyone’s radar, so walk-up when it suits your schedule.
A big thanks to all. The confusion/hesitation was due to my husband having read on another (not the official site) site that the only way to access a particular main building was with a guided tour, which are ostensibly available only twice a day on certain days. We decided to stick with the official website and ordered our timed, discounted senior tickets with audioguide there. We just like the ease of having tickets pre-purchased, especially when our time in city is very limited, as this visit will be, with just 2 days in Barcelona, and a third at Montserrat before a cruise. We spent a longer period in Madrid and Barcelona in March 2023 and found that buying tickets online pre-trip directly from official sites saved us valuable time and stress during our visit. Thanks again everyone.
