We would like to go and rent a house and really experience one area in Spain.
Where would you suggest we go. We love the beach. We would love a beautiful place on the water, with a very quaint town.

I agree that Llafranc is a beautiful town. It's in a great location too for exploring the region, and it's not too far from Barcelona if you wish to do a daytrip. If you do decide to go, make sure you allow at least a day to explore Girona, a small city filled with history. BTW- I love exploring Spain the way you do- choosing one spot to really "settle in" and get to know instead of trying to rush all over the country. Have fun!
