I'm trying to book my seat (soon) on the AVE from Sevilla to Madrid and I'd really like to face forward. By looking at the seat map http://www.renfe.com/img/trenes/S-100r/ave_s100_r.html It appears that, for example, seat11A will be facing forward as I head to Madrid. Am I reading the seat map correctly? I plan on booking as soon as I can and in the first class or preferred category. Thanks!!
That would be my interpretation.
Sevilla - Madrid "Sentido de la marcha" Face to direction of travel.
Madrid - Sevilla "Espalda a la marcha" Back to direction of travel.
Barbara,
Yes, you're reading the seat map correctly. Seat 11A in 1st Class (Preferente, carriage 2 or 3) is facing forward in the direction the train is traveling (Sevilla to Madrid)
Please note: If you book seat 11A, you will be facing the person seating in seat 10A, and there is a small table in between these two seats. If you're traveling solo and don't wish to face another passenger across from you then you may want to choose seat 5A, 6A, 7A, 12A or 13A.
Enjoy your trip!
Priscilla- thanks so very much!!
