Trouble booking Cordoba to Madrid-Puerta De Atocha

Hi all,

I have been trying to avoid asking since it seems I should be able to figure this out myself.
I have already booked other tickets for our vacation in May and thought I understood all the peculiarities of the Renfe site.
But the site is getting the best of my sanity. I know there are tickets available for end of May because they show on other sites. However, I want to get a table for our family so I understand I need to use Renfe.
Every time I do a search I get the same message below, and Iv'e been trying for days.
"The train consulted is not available for sale at this time, please try later and excuse the inconvenience. Or there is no direct connection"

Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?

I'm trying to book a table (4 seats) from Cordoba to Madrid-Puerta De Atocha late afternoon on May 30.
I've tried other dates with the same error message. I've done it while I was logged in under my account and also tried without being logged in.

I booked 4 tickets and a table from Seville to Cordoba with no problem.

Shelley,
I just checked Renfe.com and it appears that the train schedules have not been released for May 30th yet.
The last day that shows train schedules is May 28th.

I presume May 30th train schedules will become available soon, so I'd just keep checking daily.

Have a wonderful trip!

Renfe's site is erratic. If the train is listed on the schedule for the same day of the week several weeks earlier, then it will eventually show up on the date you want. The "table seats" aren't all that popular because you must buy all 4, and most people only need 1-2 places.

I am on that same "watch list". I feel your pain. I need to book that same route on May 29th.

I have been checking 3 different sites......all are saying the same thing....."tickets not available yet".

Glad it is not just me.....lol

Thank you everyone,

I will try to put on my "patience hat" . Ha Ha

It was just alarming to see the tickets show up on Rail Europe and still not Renfe.

I have also been checking out Trainline.eu and Loco2.

I was trying to book some other train "legs" of my trip on Renfe. I finally "surrendered" and went to Trainline. Trainline worked great for me. Same price as Renfe.

I am also struggling with the renfe site--Different destinations but similar return message. The site also seems to be unfriendly to one-way travel. If anyone has a magic way to deal with this, please help!

Trainline help site says that renfe often has delays in posting availability when time changes, second Saturday in June. We are looking prior to that time so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Per the last comments: I booked several one-way train routes through Renfe last year for our trip to Spain. It didn’t like my credit cards but went smoothly with PayPal.

Tickets opened today. I just booked Córdoba - Madrid for June 4. I booked via Loco2 but compared price to Renfe first, and they were the same.
