My husband and I want to take the night train from Madrid to Sarria. I can find the route through Sept 15, but we want to travel Sept 19. It says the schedule comes out 62 days in advance so it should be out.
Anyone have this problem reserving the train?
How long should we wait before making alternative plans?
I would wait a couple of weeks. Spain and some other railways make seasonal schedule adjustments in mid-September and the new schedules usually come out on shorter notice than their so-called standard plan
That 62 days isn’t written in stone. As they say in Spain, mañana. I’m waiting to get tickets to Lugo around the same date, and a return from Santiago de Compostela later in September. I just checked, and as you stated, the Renfe site only goes out to the 15th. You didn’t do anything wrong.
Checked the Renfe schedule today and it only goes out to September 15, so the schedule for the 19th should be out in a few days. Remember, to get to Sarria, you take the Lugo train, but get off one stop before Lugo. We’ll be taking the 13:05 Alvia train to Lugo the same day.
The schedule for the last half of September is on the Renfe site now.
Thanks! I hadn't checked today yet so am happy to know!
