I am planning on spending a few days trekking between villages in Las Alpujarras this September. We are hoping to just use day packs and are wondering if it is possible/common for people to just send their suitcases to the hotel in the next village by taxi or some other service. Do people do that? Thanks for any help.

There are luggage transfer companies, but I couldn’t find their names. Maybe contact High Point Holidays, KE Adventure Travel, or MacsAdventure to see which companies they use. They should have suggestions.
