Travelling with Children to Madrid

We are travelling to Madrid in November for a wedding and will have a few days to explore Madrid. We have 2 younger children ages 9 and 7. Looking for kid friendly ideas. This will be our first time to Spain. Thank you.

I don't have kids and have never really visited Retiro Park, but it is mentioned often, especiallly when people are traveling with children. There's also the free-to-enter Egyptian Temple of Debod. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near Retiro Park! The website (https://www.esmadrid.com/en/tourist-information/temple-debod) recommends booking an entry time in advance.

We were in Madrid in November, 2022. Weather can be cold; Retiro Park was bitterly cold. I suggest indoor attractions. The Royal Palace was enjoyable and kids would probably get a kick out of the armoury museum. Plaza Mayor is not too far away and will have Christmas decorations by the last half of November. San Miguel is a fun place to eat.
