Travelling to Valencia in November, can't decide on the rest of itinerary

My husband and I are travelling to Valencia for a MotoGP race November 5th and 6th. We have a couple weeks and I'm trying to decide on the rest of the itinerary. Here is my tentative plan

-Arrive in Barcelona Oct 30t- stay 4 night
-Leave for Valencia-stay 4 nights
-Leave for Granada-stay 3 nights
-Leave for Malaga-stay 1 night
Fly out Malaga to home

There is never enough time to visit everywhere we want to go! I would appreciate any suggestions for more or less time in places or substitutions.
Thanks for any help!

Your itinerary looks fine to me! No big issues. Maybe the only thing is that you may want to take 1 night from Valencia and add to Barcelona.

Both Barcelona and Valencia have a lot of great daytrips possibilities from each city.

Thanks for the input! We were planning on driving from Valencia to Granada. Is this a pretty drive? Any suggestions on where to stop along the way?

Pretty? maybe not, but Dramatic. You'll mainly be driving through the regions of Murcia and Almería, which can be quite desertic. There are a number of points of interest along the route. I'd say these are my top ones:

Palmeral of Elche - UNESCO Heritage Site, 1000 year old Moorish Palm plantation (largest palm grove in Europe)

Cartagena - good seafood and Roman ruins

Tabernas Desert Nature Reserve - Only natural desert in Europe

Cabo de Gata National Park - stunning and dramatic primeval coastline and beaches

I'd definitely break it up with an overnight (maybe steal 1 from Granada), if you plan on driving.

I agree about transferring one night from Valencia to Barcelona. Just 4 nights in Barcelona at the beginning of the trip--so you may have essentially no non-jetlagged hours on Day 1--is really not enough. A lot of the most popular attractions there effectively require pre-purchases of time-specific entry tickets, lest you end up in very long ticket lines. Locked-in arrival times at multiple sights make it difficult to set up a really efficient sightseeing plan.
