My family (two teens and parents) and I would like to travel from Seville to Madrid July 8 but stop in Cordoba for a few hours . . is that possible? We need to be in Madrid late that night as we fly out the next morning. Does the high speed train make any stops? Should we take a bus then take the train? Or does it make more sense for a day trip to Cordoba from Seville (we have 3 nights in Seville)?
You can easily do this plan by train. You just buy separate, reserved train tickets for each leg, whether in advance for a discount or in the station for flexibility. There are very few departures on this high-speed line that don't stop at Cordoba, but that's barely relevant since you'll just request a ticket to Cordoba.
Book ahead with x2 separate tickets.
Seville >> Cordoba
Cordoba >> Madrid
Luggage storage available st Cordoba bus station. Try and allow at least 4-5 hours.
