Travelling from Portugal to Spain

Hello,

We are a family of 3 adults travelling in November. We are catching a flight from Porto to Spain where we will spend nearly 5 weeks travelling. We are looking at 5 nights in Madrid, 6 nights Barcelona and 22 nights travelling Andalucia - Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Ronda, Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz.

I welcome any assistance in working out the order of travel from Porto and the best order and means to travel from place to place. I also welcome any recommendations on the proposed itinerary. We don't mind flying or train.

From Spain we are flying to Belgium so we do need to leave from either Madrid or Barcelona.

Thank you for your assistance in advance.

Hi Tanya,

I have a reasonably similar itinerary planned for this October. I am spending 22 days in Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Malaga, and Ronda - all by train. I then go back to Madrid for my return flight to the USA,. You have added Granada and Barcelona. I would recommend arriving in Spain through Madrid, touring Analucia in whatever order you ultimately decide on, and then flying to Barcelona. I believe you can fly there from either Seville, Granada or Malaga. Also it is best, even though November is not a busy tourist season, to reserve the your visits to the Alhambra and Sagrada Familia. Those should be the only site reservations you require. Enjoy your trip - it sounds great!
