We are travelling to Madrid on 31 December. Prices are rising quickly. Does anyone have any experience with some of the low cost airlines such as Vueling, Air Europa and I beria. Are we better off to spend the extra to fly Air France. Unsure as to whether the prices will decrease at this stage. Your advice is appreciated as I keep reading reviews and they all sound terrible.

I flew Iberia from Madrid to Prague and it was very good, Even had an upgrade for premium class for only 40 dollars.

I have flown vueling a couple of times last 3 years and air france while in Europe with no problems and have never heard about them being poor as far as safety. As with any airline you read and follow the rules (they do not all have the same rules) and you limit problems. For such short flight Madrid to Paris I wouldn't over think that. and the prices are just going to continue to go up as capacity decreases the longer you wait
