My husband will be traveling on Sept 18-20 and I would like to take 2-3 days to travel by train from Barcelona ending in southern France, Penzenas. We would like to stop for one day and night in Girona and then stope for one day and night in Carcassorne or Narbonne Any suggestions? Places to stay, towns to see and what type of train to take.

Just curious, what is the attraction to you in Penzenas? Never been to that area, but I plan a trip to Barcelona and would like to go to Southern France as well so I will be interested in any responses as well!
