Traveling from Seville to Marbella with 87 year old- visit to Ronda?

Hi Everyone,

If anyone has been to Ronda I would really appreciate a bit of advice.
We are a multigenerational family of 5 who plan to travel by a van and driver from Seville to Marbella. My husband and myself and our three boys who are mostly grown. We would like to do a 4 hour stop in Rondo for lunch and a little walking. My question has to do with my 87 year old mom. She is in very good health but broke her femur last year and is still working on getting full strength back (and truthfully no matter how much gym time, she may never.) We have arranged for a driver but it seems like the large van we have might not be able to get into the old town, which I assume means we would have to park on the outskirts? My husband and son can walk in but I am wondering if my mom and I can get a taxi? It will be the beginning of August so very crowded? How hard is it to get from the parking lots up to the old city via vehicle(taxi or shuttle) of some sort?
Or should I scrap this plan and just drive through the area on our way to our resort in Marbella?

Thanks in advance!!

Thank you for the parking idea- just wondering if our large van will be able to park there

Mid-September, last year, we made a stop in Ronda. It was extremely crowded, touristy and the one place in Andalucia to which we would not return. We spent the previous night in the nearby village of Arriate and had an exceptional meal there at Taberna Malacana. If your husband and sons are set on going to Ronda, maybe you ladies could hang out there?
